Fall is in full swing, the cooler temperatures are moving in, the days are getting shorter, and there's a shift in energy. Are you feeling it? We may feel the season calling us to slow down, get back to a routine, or find a rhythm that is aligned with the needs of our whole being through the foods we eat, the physical and social activities we engage in, and our self care practices.
Listening to the messages of the body is a highly effective way to achieve a clearer sense of what forms of nourishment we are in need of at any given time, and is very helpful during times of seasonal transition. Listening to the body is not something that always comes naturally to us. The messages may be subtle or easy to ignore (such as thirst), we may not think they're that important (like a rumble in the belly), we might not feel like we have the time to respond to these messages from the body, or tell ourselves that it's not that bad (like a tight muscle).
We may override the messages without even knowing it because we have deadlines, relationships, kids, work demands, household responsibilities, a long to-do list, etc...you name it! Sometimes the messages from the body get louder and louder until we can't ignore it anymore. My guess is that we all can find examples of this in our lives. I certainly can!
As you probably know, I wholeheartedly believe in and encourage personalized-holistic nourishment as an essential way to nurture a healthy body-mind-spirit connection, replenish energy supply, and for building resilience in the face of stress and life's challenges. Developing an open line of communication between all aspects of the self increases our awareness of what we need each day to feel more energized, centered and grounded in a world of stress and busyness.
Over the past month I've been putting my energy into creating 7 Days of Nourishing Rituals, a free online program for the whole community. It is a compilation of simple, meaningful, holistic health practices that give you pause and invite moments of connection, to listen and feed your whole self.
The intention of 7 Days of Nourishing Rituals is to:
* Inspire a creative, purposeful rhythm of self-care habits in your daily life
* Open up your attention to where your energy is and where it's going
* Encourage ways to be actively in service to your health and wellness
* Foster a deeper connection with your inner wisdom

This program is a weaving of the various trainings and healthy resources I have invested in over many years, and put together as a daily buffet of nourishment for you to explore and customize for yourself, at your own pace.
During these challenging times in our world, it is so important that we are taking in the "food" that truly feeds and sustains us so we can show up for all of life.
